How do I change autorun options? by Jesus on 09-06-2006 at 03:05 PM

Hi,

Whenever I put a CD in one of my CD-rom drives, the autorun dialog pops up. There's nothing wrong with that, except that it's full of all sorts of options which I don't want there.
For example:
When I insert an Audio CD I can choose one of the following options:

  • Play or save music with RealPlayer
  • Rip music with Windows Media Player
  • Play CD with PowerDVD
  • Play CD with Windows Media Player
  • Play CD with Winamp
  • Open folder and view files in Explorer
  • No Action
Does anyone know how to change/remove these options?
I don't want to disable autorun. If I wanted that, I wouldn't have started this thread ;)

it does indeed :)
I've been searching google and the registry, but couldn't find anything.
the program from the link you provided wasn't that useful, but the regkeys are :D

thanks

also you can hold shift while inserting the cd and that disables the autorun

it sucks to hold shift each time I insert a CD, and I do want the window to pop up, but without the crappy unwanted options.

but anyway, problem solved already :)
