Do you only have 1 partion?
Did you actually format the whole drive before re-installing windows?

If yes, then I don't know what really happened...
If no, you can remove the other entry, by editing the boot.ini file which is located in the root of one of your drives. (don't know how windows decides where to put the boot.ini file.)
You can also click -> Start -> Run -> msconfig -> boot.ini and set the timeout to one second.
The boot manager will only appear for a sec.

why not just use msconfig to delete the entry?

Well, the boot.ini file might had been stored in the 2nd partion.
But Windows Setup should had removed the previous entry :S

then why suggest to use msconfig to change the timeout? :p

Msconfig cannot delete boot entries (at least for me, but this might be because I'm using SP1, or because I only have 1 boot entry on my boot.ini file)
