Burn format? by duck! on 09-25-2006 at 06:18 PM
Hi,
i have downloaded the vista pack and im wondering how to burn it to CD because i had roxio built in and when i put a DVD-R in to the cd drive it says no disk is inserted but there is, so stuck there.
Is the cd style got to be a CD-R and not a DVD-R because i have cd-Rs but they are to small so...im stuck should my computer be reading the DVD-Rs and also am i supposed to burn vista on to there

You have to Burn Vista onto a DVD, to do that you need a DVD burner and some software like nero.
If the blank DVD does not work then you either have the wrong type of DVD, or you dont have a DVD burner

no need to format, just upgrade xp to vista
(also burn the .iso image to disk not as a regular file) too slow
btw you might want to change the boot order to have the drive before the hd. and make sure that u have a dvd reader
