Huhu clone+chat nick by Orgrim Doomhammer on 09-30-2006 at 01:26 PM

I use Huhu clone from a lot of time but recently i started using msgdiscovery to have a chat nick 'cos I have a long messenger name and I've noticed that it doesn't work no more (at least for cloning your contact's nick, but it works fine for psm 'n' dp) 'cos the chat nick overwrites it, so I was wondering about if it could be possible to change your chat nick instead of your messenger nick... can someone tell me if there is a variable where the chat nick is stored?

Your "Chat" nickname is the same as your "Messenger" nickname... They don't have seperate variables.

All huhu clone does is change you nickname for a brief moment while the message is sent.  This will also be shown in your event log and chat logs as you will probably notice many times where your name changed.

yes, but I want it to change my chat nick (that is one of the features in stuffplug 'n' msgdiscovery) instead of my messenger nick so I was wondering about where it is stored to modify the code of the script where it changes your name to your contact's

As far as I know, this is not possible with scripts. May not even be possible in Windows Live Messenger. Stuffplug 3 may or may not have this feature, but i've not heard any news of it. Not heard of anybody doing this since MSN got rebranded...
