Which would be better? by MrSwiskey on 10-02-2006 at 05:41 PM

'Hi, i want to know what all of you guys think.

Which is better? WindowBlinds or StyleXp.?

Whichever one people seem to say they like the most, i shall get.

Simple.

You might wanna make a poll ;)

StyleXP, it's pretty simple and nice
if you wan't something a little more advanced you can allways Neowin UXTheme Multi-Patcher so that you can use themes from StyleXp without runing the software (and it's free)

Yeah, I'd recommend UXTheme Patcher,

I have it too, no resources getting eaten up by those programs. And no compatibilty problems caused by those programs.

WindowsBbinds have been reported to cause problems with various software (including with Plus!).

That's all I can say...

polls don't explain stuff. They only show a preference, they don't show why people have that preference. Polls are seriously overrated if you ask me.

(Y) Cracked UXTheme FTW!

I've used stylexp in the past, but just over a year ago I switched to the uxtheme.dll patch (neowin) and it's a lot better. StyleXP is constantly running in the backround, whereas with the uxtheme.dll patch you're just patching a system file that allows you to use themes other than windows luna and windows classic, and you can change it in the Appearance menu in the Display Properties (right click on desktop > properties).
