I've got the same problem, I'm in the UK and my settings are set as such. I'm missing out on free stuff because of technical issues, darn it! RE: Security settings anyone??? by Sunshine on 10-11-2006 at 10:46 AM
Works for me and i'm not even in the UK! The UK restriction bit is for the promotion only (the gifts): quote:I think you might want to check out your IE Security settings: open Internet Explorer click the Tools menu > Internet Options > Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section, and verify that "Check for server certificate revocation" is unchecked. Also verify that 'Use SSL 2.0' and Use SSL 3.0' is checked, then click OK. Also note that bots might not always work..i got a few and one day they work and the other they don't.... Edit: No need to alter anything in your passport setting or system settings at all! It's just another contact addy. You get to accept an invitation to start the activity after you said hello to the bot. Win XP Pro SP2 WLM 8.1 (yea official tester) Plus!Live beta (official here too) IE 6 RE: RE: Security settings anyone??? by Gledster on 10-12-2006 at 06:10 PM
quote: I've checked that, it's like you said and still not working. I'm sure it's something on my PC as it's old and slow but still, I can't see why it should affect WLM. Thanks for trying though Sunshine and others, any more ideas I'd love to hear them! Regards Chris Gledhill |
