Messenger Plus! Live for Windows Live Messenger.

I have Windows Live Messenger installed.

Take a look at this : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/c...ng/clearcache.mspx and redownload the installation.

Firstly please repost some finer details for support with this matter ie;

1. What software?
2. What windows version?

If you refer to Patchou's messenger plus, then what version are you downloading and what version of msn messenger do you have installed?

Knowing this isn't needed as the process is the same.

The reason why it says that the program is not a valid Win32 Application is because the browser didn't complete writing to the file when it said it was done, then when you tried to redownload it, it just copied it from your cache to where you were saving it.

Please be specific if you want us to be able to help you....

From what site did you downloaded?
and what is that "something which came up" thingie?

Also remember to download from official sites only. Never download stuff from 3rd party sites.

To download Messenger Plus!3, compatible with MSN Messenger 6 to 7, go to http://old.msgplus.net/.

To download Messenger Plus!Live, compatible with Windows Live Messenger 8.x, go to http://www.msgpluslive.net/.

As Matty also suggested, make sure you have a clean cache.

OK, so i've downloaded the newest version from the website suggested (which i done twice before anyway).
Go to install it and it comes up with this:

I do have XP!!!!!!
I click OK and it downloads something which doesn't work...
If i press cancel it cancels the setup.

Go on Start>Run>winver and see if it says you have XP.

And take a screenshot of what Zahid suggested and post it here...

Make sure you are not running the setup in compatibility mode!

Rightclick, Properties, Compatibility and make sure Compatibility mode is unchecked.

Though, it doesn't make much sense that it suddenly works now since everything pointed clearly to a corrupted file on your part.

Unless you didn't what Matty suggested (cleaned your cache) or didn't downloaded from the official site as suggested.

anyways, glad it works now...

PS: also update your Windows XP with the latest updates and fixes.
