"Msg Plus Live-401(4)exe.part could not be saved, because the source file cannot be read
Please try again later or contact the server administrator"

we have tried to load this over three days now.cleaned cache temp files..all traces of wlm..and Mpl...redownloadedd WLM .(from wlm download site).im lost i have no idea why it wont work..it happens when it gets to about 1/4 way through download..when the message comes up and the download stops.
no firewalls up
security closed down ..etc etc..

any ideas?

DO you have any "download accelerators" or other programs which "secure" the internet and add some tools? If so, disable them, clean your cache, and try again.

RE: Source file by kittymew on 11-06-2006 at 07:57 AM

No cookie no download accelerators..

or secure the internet kinna things
(running on a security free connection at the moment I think i've thought of everything )

Ive disabled the firewall..and also disabled NIS(each download try)

and kept it disabled while attempting to download ..even done a reboot with them disabled from startup
done the cache clean
with CC cleaner
and even thought maybe a registry problem..and did a reg fix( i know im clutching at straws here)

is so lost:(

yeah i get the same thing, i believe there is something wrong with the link, i fix would be a big help as i need to update but cant

RE: Source file by CookieRevised on 11-06-2006 at 12:12 PM

There is nothing wrong with the link though. Such problems are local.

Try to clean your cache again (in the proper way; using the browser's own options) and restart your browser afterwards.

There have been a whole lot of people recently on IRC that have had this or similar problem.
I think there actually might be something wrong other than the end client...

There were always people who reported "problems" with it. And in 99,99999999% cases it was because they used/have:

- bad cache
- they use a download accelerator
- they have a bad (not reliable) internet connection (wireless)
- they have security tools running which falsly report a malicious download and stop it
- they have stuff in their hosts file which prevents proper downloading
- they are running some anti-whatever tool
- they can't download exe files because of some too strict internet restriction thingie or setting in some browser or addin or tool
- etc...

all of which isn't sometimes even known by the user...

I'm not saying it is impossible that something is wrong with the servers, but it's very unlikely seeing that hundred thousands of people are able to download it each day...

RE: Source file by dale456654 on 11-08-2006 at 01:34 AM

I would be happy to email it you or send it to you over msn...
