XP Problem by DarkMe on 11-12-2006 at 11:46 PM

I have a little problem, a few minutes ago i was in a friends house, in her computer, and i executed Limewire, iTunes, SonicStage, Nero, WLM, and MiPC at the same time, i went from her house.

She called me saying that when i left she closed all the programs but a blue screen appeared saying "A problem ocurred and Windows will restart, if this screen continues appearing boot in safe mode and deactivate any antivirus, defragment the hd and other things.

I tried to boot in Normal Mode, Safe Mode, Safe Mode with networking features and those things.
but everytime the blue screen appears

How can i fix it?

thx in advance

edit:
XP SP2
2.00Ghz
128mb RAM

Boot with the XP Boot Disk.
Try recovery console, etc.

I'll format it, since it i need a program that can recover some data of that hard disk so can someone tell me where i can found one to download?

thanks

RE: XP Problem by Max on 11-14-2006 at 09:37 PM

Don't format, just boot into the XP disk, go through the normal install procedure until it comes up to select the partition.  Then press R and it will repair your Windows installation, any corrupt files will then be fixed.
