After installing messenger plus live! when I wanted to start the messenger I couldn't. It showed a message: "Windows Live Messenger 8.1 BETA has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Every time I wanted to start the messenger this message was shown. And there was no error code. So I uninstalled Messenger Plus Live! and then the messenger was working fine again. Damn what's going on.. I didn't use the msgplus live for last one month & waited for this version to release. Now I can't wait any longer. Someone please help me.
OS: Win XP SP2
WLM: 8.1 (build 8.1.0106.00_ClientV8.1)
MsgPlus Live: 4.10.250

perhaps by following the instructions here it may help solve the issue.
p.s thanks to CookieRevised for helping out with the registry locations and folder locations

Hey it didn't work. I followed all d instructions but same old result!!! That message is shown everytime and the messenger doesn't work. Anything else I can do? Someone please help!!!
