Is there anyway of remove the recycle bin icon from the desktop? if so, how do you do it?

Downloaded, extracted and clicked the 'rename' and the 'delete' registery files, but nothing happens. Nothings added to the right click menu
i tried restoring settings and trying again, no difference.

Why dont you right clickon your desktop - arrange icons by - untick show desktop icons

Download Tweak UI and de select "recycle bin" from the "desktop" section;
