HI
i want to install MsgPlusLive but i have a problem.
Before the install starts an error apear:

"A fatal error occured, the setup cannot continue. Error Code: 8008"

I had MsgPlusLive installed some time ago but i unistalled because it doesn't start when MSN srtats, and i thought that if i reinstall it, it will works but....
What i shall do?

Hi i'm a brand new member. I have the same problem you had. when I try to re-install plus! just downloaded the error message no. 8008 appears...and when I try to uninstall it the computer makes the error sound but anything appears...when I open live messenger I cannot access...I really don't know what to do...

This problem should be fixed in Messenger Plus! 4.12. Thanks again for reporting .

(and it also proofs that Patchou does read posts (but can't always answer immediatly)

Err... btw, I just noticed something... this post was talking about error 8008. The error I recently fixed was error 8005.

If you are still experiencing error 8008 with the setup of Messenger Plus!, please do send me an email . Thanks.

Edit: a possible cause of error 8008 has been found and fixed. If you have this error, please try to download and install MXSML 3.0 at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?F...-9674-f752bdca9582 . This library is supposed to come standard on every XP system but it appears it can be damaged for some people.
