Thanks for this Matty, really useful script, i'll be using it a lot. Everything is working fine with it as well. (Y)

RE: [Release] SendTo by mickael9 on 12-03-2006 at 07:38 PM

Amazing script (Y)
Did you submit it to the script db ?

RE: [Release] SendTo by matty on 12-03-2006 at 07:44 PM

Not yet, I am waiting to see if there are any bugs if not I will submit it later today.

RE: [Release] SendTo by Jimbo on 12-03-2006 at 09:17 PM

Very useful, thanks.

RE: [Release] SendTo by prashker on 12-03-2006 at 09:18 PM

Told you on WLM, looks cool, and should be cool to use :)

RE: [Release] SendTo by NanaFreak on 12-03-2006 at 09:21 PM

nice script matty.... one thing that i would like in it is if you could have email or display name... but still good script

RE: [Release] SendTo by prashker on 12-03-2006 at 09:23 PM

Bug?

When you disable the script, the Send to of the menu and your contacts remain, and if you click one. It shows

quote:
---------------------------
Window not found:
---------------------------
Unable to find subclassed window.

Please reinstall the Messenger Plus! Live Script "SendTo".
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Maybe a limitation?
RE: [Release] SendTo by andrey on 12-03-2006 at 09:27 PM

doesn't work for me at all, this is shown in the debugger:

Does Screenshot Sender work for you as well? Or does it produce the same error (I use the same registry module for that as well.)
RE: [Release] SendTo by Eljay on 12-03-2006 at 09:54 PM

I will send you both my email and we can try and work on this.
RE: [Release] SendTo by Spunky on 12-03-2006 at 10:05 PM

Works fine for me. Nice script. Is there a limit to how many entries go into the list (I'm thinking of peoplewith over 300 contacts...)

Nope, chances are tho all 300 contacts will not be online at the same time.

Thought about this its not really an option that would be 100% full proof.

Did they signin after you were online? Or were they online before you signed in.
RE: [Release] SendTo by Spunky on 12-04-2006 at 01:47 AM

Hmmm... I have no idea... I'm fairly sure they were on before me

I had the same problem yesterday (but I don't remeber if I was online before or after the contact -> I think I entered online before)
TODAY I had the same problem, and I'm sure I was online first than the contact
What I'm using: WLM 8.0...812, Plus!4.11 Windows XP SP2
RE: [Release] SendTo by Jesus on 12-04-2006 at 01:57 PM

very nice script Matty, good job!!
I would have never thought of it, but it's a very intuitive way of sending files.
(Y)(Y)

I have so far encountered only one issue (file being copied to sendTo\WLM - <My Email>\  and thus appearing in the menu instead of being sent) but I can't reproduce it and all works fine now ;)

Cheers ;)

edit: aaargh the problem has returned :S it seems to work on a random basis :(
sometimes it sends, sometimes it copies. :( when it sends, the debugger shows

quote:
Debugging window
> Functieaanroep: "OnWndSubclassEvent_MessageNotification"

> handle:  0x70420
> message: 0x402
> wparam:  0x2df0000
> RECIEVED STRING: 'email@ddress.com'
> lparam:  0x2e00000
> RECIEVED STRING: '"C:\Documents and Settings\Jesus\Documenten\TestFile.exe"'
When it copies, it doesn't show anything...

Are you by any chance double clicking the WLM - email folder? If so its just going to put it there, its the way that Send To folder works.
RE: [Release] SendTo by Felu on 12-04-2006 at 03:34 PM

It never send a file [Image: xso_sad.gif].
Also i always get this in the debug when a contact signs in.

       Line: 468. Code: -2147024893.

But for now this is a great script! Too bad you will not win the contest with this, because I am going to win*-)8-). But it would be good for the 2nd place:P

When the problem occurs I'm clicking where the mousepointer on the screenshot is located. If I click on the WLM - email folder, it doesn't copy, it just opens the list of not-offline contacts.

RE: [Release] SendTo by MicroWay on 12-05-2006 at 12:32 AM

DarkMe, this is because the scripts preferences...
There you can choose btw only show your e-mail and than open a box to select one contact or thwe other (that shows all contacts "allowed" to recieve the file)
Go to Plus! Icon > SendTo > Preferences > Select the opition you want...
Note that probably you gonna need to restart WLM to the changes to get effect
;)

That works :cheesy:

Just a lil problem, i have two WLM menus in the send to menu :/
Start > Run > sendto

Delete the folders and appearoffline and change your status it will create everything it needs too.
RE: [Release] SendTo v1.2 [Updated] by Jimbo on 12-05-2006 at 07:42 AM

Problems still. When i right click>>send to, NO WLM is there, its only got the normal like, compressed, destop, my documents etc
I have a compressed senttotarget zip folder when i go run>>sendto, but it is 0kb

Nice work on the update Matty (Y), I haven't had any problems so far.
If any problem will occur I'll let you know in this thread.

Oh yeah, maybe not a bug, but quite funny: this script allows me to open a convo with myself :P
Not directly from the menu, but when I click my own email and it comes up with the "select contact" window, I can choose myself and send the file, opening a convo with myself :D

RE: [Release] SendTo v1.2 [Updated] by RaPLeX on 12-05-2006 at 04:35 PM

Also its listing some offline contacts :S ?

RE: [Release] SendTo v1.3 [Updated] by matty on 12-05-2006 at 04:56 PM

Ok to people having an issue please do the following.

If you have any files or folders in your SendTo folder already please delete them

quote:
Start > run > SendTo > delete the files

Stop and delete the script through Messenger Plus! Live preferences.
Download version 1.3 of the script and install it. If you are still having issues make sure that your status is not Appear Offline. If you still have issues change to Appear Offline and back to Online then if there are any errors in debug window please post it here.
RE: [Release] SendTo v1.3 [Updated] by Pure_BY on 12-05-2006 at 06:07 PM

Genious script! Great idea! 5 out of 5 :)
Especially handy since drag-and-drop file to a name in contact list does not work any more since WLM (because of the stupid sharing folders).

Thanks a lot. Gonna search for the script in Scripts Database right now to give it 5 stars (or what is the maximum allowed?).

Does work for me... maybe because I have sharing folders disabled ;) they suck indeed :/
RE: [Release] SendTo v1.4 [Updated] by Menthix on 12-05-2006 at 07:11 PM

Matty, I just tried 1.3 you sent me on WLM:

1.
- It works fine on first sight, with the "Display all online contacts", but as soon as I change the preferences to "Launch Contact Selector" I don't have and entry at all from your script in the "Send To" menu.
- Changing the preferences back to "Display all online contacts" wont solve it at that point, still nothing in the "Send To" menu except from the usual things that aren't related to your script.
- If i at this point import your .plsc again the script comes back to live in the "Display all online contacts" settings.... Changing the preferences after that will break it again (starting the whole story over again)

2.
- Later at some point I removed your script, and than import it again...
- Suddenly both methods are in the "Send To" menu... and both work.
- When looking at the preferences it tells me that it is in "Launch Contact Selector" mode.
- So I changed to "Display all online contact"
- ...and again there is nothing left from your script in the "Send To" menu
- Re-importing the .plsc at this point will get you to the start of the first story again

So, In my case there seems to go something wrong when switching preferences. Looks like the same problems Dazmatic and Jimbodude had right after upgrading to 1.2 (altought i use 1.3)

Instant update (edited before posting :p):

Deleting the files in the SendTo folder didn't seem to matter anything, still had the problem.... BUT... switching status to appear offline and then back to online DOES help (makes the menu re appear).

Those having problems with the WLM dissapearing from the Send To menu:
- Import SendTo 1.3
- See if its in the Send To  menu (it should be)
- Change preferences to "Lanch Contact Selector"
- See if its in the Send To  menu now (it probably won't be if you had these problems before)
- Change status to appear offline
- Change status to online
- See if its in the Send To  menu (it should be, you should be able to use the Contact selector now)
.......same counts for switching back the preferences.
RE: [Release] SendTo v1.7 [Final] by matty on 12-05-2006 at 07:36 PM

All of the above has been fixed in version 1.7.

Thanks to Menthix for trying the versions.

I have them disabled too. But if you drag'n'drop a file (to someone) in your contact list, WLM will ask you if you want to «start sharing folders» with her/him. It does not open conversation window to transfer the file, like in MSN Messenger 7.

Matty, just a small suggestion for enhancement of the interface:

code:
Send To -> WLM_-_{myemailaddress} -> WLM_-_{contactemailaddress}

Where "_" is a space. The red part is by far unnecessary.

I found a little bug, when you sign out I think you don't destroy the listener window cause when I sign out and in a couple of times my Task Manager says there are some windows and the names are my email address.

EDIT: It happens every time I change status.

EDIT2: I think I found the error.

On line 156 you create the window on status change, but you don't check if it already exists.

Running Windows Vista:

- Launch contact selector mode will launch the window when clicked in the sento menu, however not all contacts are displayed.

- Display all contacts mode doesn't work at all, it just displays "WLM - <<your email>>" and doesn't appear to do anything. When clicking again it tries to copy the same file into the same directory.

RE: [Release] SendTo v1.7 [Final] by The Brain on 12-13-2006 at 05:53 AM

Great Script!

One thing I noticed - When the script first creates the shortcuts in the _create_files() function, it doesn't check to see if contacts are blocked, although  it does delete shortcuts for contacts who are later blocked.

I thought I saw a request somewhere for adding a "New Chat" to the "New" right click menu (or the File > New menu in Explorer), but I can't see that request any more. But, I looked into that, and using this script and exe, you can do it by adding a few registry keys.

I haven't made it into a script, because I would probably end up just copying and pasting a lot of this script, since I really don't understand how the subclassed windows etc work. If you would like to add this functionality to SendTo, I'd gladly let you know how I did it. Otherwise, can I use parts of your script (and interface windows etc) and the exe to do this on my own?

RE: [Release] SendTo v1.7 [Final] by matty on 12-15-2006 at 01:39 AM

Hey everyone, download version 1.8 you will NOT forget it!

The Brain: Unfortunately the exe only can be used by this script it has internal checks.

On the surface not much except
- the status of your contacts will be visible in the SendTo submenu (if you selected to show all contacts in the preferences of course)
- the interface windows are tweaked a bit

Internally
- More than 90% of the script has changed.
- A lot of bugs fixed (I hope all?)

When I try to download it, my antivirus (Avast! home edition) blocks the plsc and warns that it contains a trojan horse, the name is Win32:Agent-DRG [Trj].
It can be an error in the virus definitions database, because it detects as a virus many mirc dlls, but I can't use the script.

Thats most likely if it connects to the Internet to update. The script is perfectly safe

the script doesn't connect to anything at all, nor does it anything remotely dangerous.

Luigi, dish that anti-virus program, or set it up properly (meaning never use the most strict rules, they are never good for anything (unless you always only use Word for example :p)).

Disable script blocking?
RE: [Release] SendTo v1.8b [Final] by Jesus on 12-18-2006 at 11:31 PM

Hmm... I still seem to have the problem that it copies the file to the sendto folder instead of sending it :(
does anyone else have this problem too and is there any chance it will be fixed? it's still the same as before, like the script sometimes doesn't receive my click and lets Windows take care of it. Windows will ofcourse copy it to the folder then.

RE: [Release] SendTo v1.8b [Final] by matty on 12-18-2006 at 11:38 PM

If you go to Start > Run > sendto > click ok

And open the folder for your email, are there any contacts shown?

RE: [Release] SendTo v1.8b [Final] by Jesus on 12-18-2006 at 11:43 PM

Yes, most of them are hidden (offline I guess) and the desktop.ini file is there too.
the targets for the shortcuts are "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live\Scripts\SendTo\_sendfile.exe" my@email.com contact@email.com

This is something dodgy going on in your windows (the handling of shortcuts) and not the fault of the script.

Make sure you have all the updates, fixes and patches of Windows. Speaking of which what exact version do you have?

Also, what is the complete path of your SendTo folder?

Also, make sure your mouse behaves properly too and doesn't automatically "copy" a file when you drag and drop something (check your drivers and settings). Or that you have special things going on like double clicking equals CTRL+drag/drop, etc...

Check software which may intervene with standard behaviour of Windows like Anti-virus/spyware, key loggers, hotkey adding stuff (keyboard?), tweakers, stuff like WindowsBlinds, desktop enhancers, altered shells, etc...

Again, this is not the fault of the script though.

Windows will always take care of it. They are simple normal shortcuts like any other shortcut on your PC. There is nothing different about them. When you drag and drop a file on a shorcut, that shortcut is launched with the files you dropped on it as parameter. This is also exactly what the script does. Nothing is 'send' by the shortcuts at all.

The script doesn't have anything todo with recieving your clicks or whatever, that is all Windows. The only thing the script does is sending a file to your contact, nothing more.

And Windows will not "of course copy it" as that is by no means standard behaviour of Windows. Windows will execute the shortcut, that is the default and "of course" behaviour of Windows.

;)

Another update, v1.9 get it while its hot!

I updated the preview image.
This update wont show yahoo contacts in the Send To menu as there seems to be an inability to transfer files between the clients.

I had a similar problem with an italian freeware software to send sms trough free internet services. The author changed something in the code of one of the dlls he was using and made another build. And the antivirus stopped warning about a virus.
I don't know if there is anything similar that can be done, because I would like to use that script.

Just checked, all mouse settings were OK (if they weren't, I would have noticed earlier), all updates are installed and the complete path to the sendto folder is still the default one.
So I got to the point where I started disabling other programs to try if it helped and indeed, disabling WindowBlinds did it for me!

Weird thing is, I guess I'm not the only one around here using it, so why wasn't this mentioned before? (except one time IIRC)
Could it be a specific setting in WB or maybe even a theme specific problem? too bad if it isn't, cause I'll have to choose then :P

Uninstall that crap :P
(not the script the anti virus)
and install avg :P

I had a similar problem with an italian freeware software to send sms trough free internet services. The author changed something in the code of one of the dlls he was using and made another build. And the antivirus stopped warning about a virus.
I don't know if there is anything similar that can be done, because I would like to use that script.

This is way different then what is being done in the exe. The exe doesn't do anything regarding connections, internet, or whatever. The only thing it does is calling an API to set some string in memory so it can be passed to the script, that is absolutely everything. And the API it uses for that is even so common that it is being used by almost any program out there. There is absolutely nothing out of the ordinary of the exe. Even an MP3 player does more 'dangerous' stuff than this exe.

Anti-virusses which popup for this exe are plain stupidly utterly crap... sorry to say this, but it is...

And even if there was something to change so they don't popup anymore, I'm not even sure I even want to do that. Such false positives happen more and more, and the anti-virus companies do as if this is a good thing, which is actually not. It is up to them to fix their detection routines properly and not warn for every small thing a program does. It's not up to the programmers to workaround dodgy detections....

Yes.

There was a very stupid mistake before. The OnEvent_Uninitialize function was spelled wrong :P

-------------------------------------

EDIT: although a new bug pops up now.... But this time, it is the fault of Messenger Plus! itself I believe. For some reason a OnEvent_ContactSignout was called _after_ the OnEvent_Signout:
quote:
Debug
Function called: OnEvent_Signout
Function called: OnEvent_ContactSignout

which resulted in making an "WLM - undefined" subdirectory since our own email wasn't defined anymore, obviously because we've signed out...

This can be worked around in the script, but in fact, this should have never happened in the first place. And this also might have big consequences for many other scripts...

:/
RE: [Release] SendTo v2.0[Final] by Chestah on 12-26-2006 at 02:10 AM

o.o, that definitely sounds like a Plus! issue. I can't see, logically, how a contact can signout when no one is logged in anymore :P

v2.1 fixes the issue of the contact signing out after you have signed out. Thanks CookieWookie.

v2.2 is available.

In all the suffle there was a bug created but since then has been fixed.

Mate I used ur script since always and I hadn't have any problem... but since I installed the script file transfer 1.1 for plus! live... I got some problems... And your script always says that is not loaded... can you check this???

I have disable the catch option of the file transfer and nothing happened... then I have disable the script and the error kept showing but when I restarted my pc all funtions of your scripts were ok...

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by matty on 12-27-2006 at 11:46 PM

Does it happen with File Transfer Plus not loaded? Do you get any errors in the Debug Window? If there is any error caused by File Transfer Plus this isn't my or Cookie's responsibility to fix it would be the developer of File Transfer Plus.

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by warmth on 12-27-2006 at 11:49 PM

I am not telling u that is you responsability mate... I said that what u can do to solve it? I will see for errors in debug window and then post it... test it you by yourself too... can u???

If SendTo (or any other script) is not loaded because you installed another script, this mostly always mean that that other script is at fault. And even more so if that other script uses self-made ActiveXs. And again even more so if that other script actually is a Plus!3 Plugin which is loaded within a script. (All things which FileTransfer also does).

Similar issues happen for example when you install a script which uses the Xniff ActiveX. Although in those cases you wont see anything abnormal, though Xniff makes that when you close Messenger a 'hidden' crash will occur (issue reported to Pai, but since he released Xniff I never heared of him again).

Also, it is not because a certain script fails to load or produces errors because you installed script X, it is the fault of script X. The fault can be yet another script Y which does some dodgy things. Again, such things happen with script which use Xniff for example. It has also todo with how Plus! loads scripts and how Plus! and the scripts handle ActiveXs and how those ActiveXs are made.

As it is, there is nothing in SendTo which even might result in a loading failure, not of its own, not for any other script, since it does absolutely nothing more than what an extremely simply script would do. It doesn't load any ActiveX, it doesn't modify anything on disc, etc... There is absolutely nothing 'advanced' about it (except for the subclassing, but that wouldn't interfear with anything as it subclasses a window which was created by SendTo itself).

Also, if you report problems, please always specify what those problems are, in detail. The same with errors; post the exact error messages you got, etc. Debugging or bug fixing or even searching the cause is as good as impossible if you don't.

;)

nothing unfortunatly, since this is not an issue with SendTo.

Though you can/should report it to RicarDog who created FileTransfer:
http://www.filetransferplus.com/forum/

Note that FileTransferPlus Live is still a pre-release and is just a stripped down wrap-around version of the old FileTransfer plugin. And thus it is actually not a new release made for Plus! Live, but just the old Plus! 3 plugin made somewhat compatible with Plus! Live, with all the bugs and ceavats it brings with it.

Sendto script by auzak on 01-17-2007 at 06:13 PM

regarding the SendTo script, i was wondering if it can be made such that it only displays contacts that the user has pre selected so that it'd be easier to find the contacts you want to send the files to, rather than listing everyone on the contact list..

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by matty on 01-17-2007 at 07:29 PM

Unfortunately its not as simple as adding a GUI and allowing the user to select specific contacts.

If its added it will be later on down the road.

how about making an option of send the folder compress in .zip, .rar or .7z???

how about making an option of send the file or folder to the contact share folder instead of send it in the regular way???
RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by CookieRevised on 01-24-2007 at 02:57 PM

You can't send a folder... SendTo is meant for sending files. If you whish to send a complete folder, select all files in that folder instead.

There is nothing wrong with the debug

quote:

Out of scope of this script IMHO

quote:

not possible and also out of scope IMHO. The script is for sending files to a contact, not adding files to shared folders.
RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by warmth on 01-24-2007 at 03:04 PM

then the script must disable the menu when you select a folder.... and enable when you select a file... IMHO

This is not possible! All Send To shortcuts are stored in the same folder. The script simply adds/removes shortcuts which all link to an .EXE which makes the script send the file. There's no way the script (or any other program using the SendTo folder) can determine what kind of file (or folder) you've selected.
RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by :No-Frost: on 03-08-2007 at 12:32 AM

it would be nice to include a "contact search" to make it easy to find the contacts, and make the nick's with the custom colors and stuff...

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by DeKoVV on 03-17-2007 at 03:12 PM

It's very strange why in some scripts is used contacts email instead nick. In WLM contact list we recognize our friends by nick, not by email... :^)

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by matty on 03-17-2007 at 04:11 PM

Contacts can have the same nickname not the same email. End of story.

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by warmth on 03-17-2007 at 04:17 PM

matty how about to show a part of the nick and when you hover the contact shows you a tooltip with the email into??? maybe you can make an option into the sendto config where the user can check the way the contacs are showed in... and you will do all sendto script users happy... jajajaja... People keep forgetting this is simply a shortcut and cannot have a tooltip atleast not in vista. Don't know about Windows XP not running in the OS and dont feel like restarting.

You are confusing nicknames with screen names. You can not change screen names, and as Matty said, different people can have the same screen name. Not to mention screen names say just as much (little) as emails do to identify somebody these days (with all those crappy long names).

Also, screen names can contain a lot of characters which aren't valid for showing in such a menu as the sendto menu. And they can contain emoticons, which is also impossible to show.

And nick names, the names you can set to contacts yourself, can not be retrieved by scripts.

Emails are the only unique and showable string you can add in the file context menus.

PS: scripts which only use screen names to identify somebody in a list, have the big potential to select the wrong user. And it is those scripts which should be changed (to also show the email for example)

I just haven't updated the script on the forum but the one included in the Plus! installer is 2.3 which disables listing your contacts because in Vista folders in the Send To menu are not supported.

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by warmth on 03-06-2008 at 12:53 AM

fixed... I unistalled and reinstalled the script and now is working...

btw are you planning to make a fix to that "vista issue" where you can only select contacts from contact selector and not by a list??? (the list option is selected by default no matter what OS you are running)

Can't be fixed. Vista doesn't support it anymore. More specific: it doesn't support folders inside the SendTo folder like XP does.

The only other way to do this is to make a real right-click menu item, instead of using the SendTo menu item. But that requires serious registry manipulation and stuff, and (un)registering DLLs, etc; thus not so "transparent" and system-friendly anymore (if something beeps up, you're left with redundant garbage in your registry, or stuff which the average user can't easly fix himself (now you can simply remove the Sendto folder and you're done).

Though, it doesn't mean it isn't possible though... We just need some time to start working on it again...

This was fixed in v2.3, I believe.... (normally Matty should have that version). I'm running v2.4(beta) at the moment and don't have v2.3 laying around.

But it has been so long I worked on this script that I don't even remember anymore why I did certain things in the script. So I need some time to re-introduce myself to this script, if you know what I mean.... And that time I don't have atm, sorry....

yes, because if it would be able to send you would notice for sure (convo) is opened etc. If it isn't able to send, nothing is shown, that's not a bug, but by design. Not good?

:( ok Cookie...

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by matty on 10-07-2009 at 02:09 PM

Javascript code:
oShortcut.Arguments = '"' + MsgPlus.ScriptFilesPath + '\\_sendfile.dll",DllInvokeSend ' + _sMyEmail + ' ' + sEmail;

Isn't it DllInvokeSendW? Not that it makes much of a difference as it still failes. Cookie send me the code and I will work on it.

Calling it from the commandline gives me this:

Perhaps if we had access the source code of the DLL, we could help you debugging. :)

Nope, the script is correct. This is how RUNDLL32 works when calling functions (it searches first for the unicode version). It has got nothing todo with the crash problem.

This isn't a problem in the DLL's source code (which is exact the same as the EXE which does work). This is a problem in how it is compiled as a DLL and how VB6 works internally like calling the correct entrypoint and instancing its internal objects and that sort of stuff.

If if you would strip everything in the sourcecode to the barebones (eg: simply A=A+1) you will have the exact same problems on Vista.

Note that this DLL does actually something which 99,99% of all people say is impossible: making a 'true' Windows DLL in VB6 (thus without the need to register it as an ActiveX, with a real working DllMain routine, etc), except that it apparently only works on XP :p...

The only thing I can do is compiling it again as an EXE, but that also means it will be removed from the scripting DB again.
RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by matty on 10-08-2009 at 12:45 PM

So as usual Cookie is right. I made a Dll that simply exported DllInvokeSend which had a message box. From there I called it using rundll32 and it failed. So Cookie looks like our only option is to do it in C++.

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.4.2 by CookieRevised on 10-13-2009 at 11:57 PM

SendTo is a bit updated again (version 2.4.2)....
Should work in Vista again.

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by warmth on 10-14-2009 at 03:19 AM

Thanks cookie!!!!!! It works!!!

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.4.2 by Danielnix on 10-17-2009 at 07:26 AM

Hi, just updated the script to version 2.4.2!
Don't know if it's a false positive but Avira AntiVir Personal sees  _sendfile.dll as the trojan horse TR/Dropper.Gen

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by CookieRevised on 10-17-2009 at 07:40 AM

It's 100% a false positive for sure....

It contains no code whatsoever which would infect any machine. It doesn't contain a single bit of code related to internet or whatever and it even doesn't write anything to your hard disk. It simply writes two strings into a dedicated memory space of the Plus! window created by the Sendto script (where it is read out again), that's all....

;)

ok, thanx!

It works for half.

Windows Seven 64bits
WLM 2009 b 14.8089.726

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by matty on 06-20-2010 at 11:21 PM

Windows Vista and Windows 7 do not support subfolders in the SendTo menu that is why it does not cascade and show you the online contacts.

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by CookieRevised on 06-21-2010 at 12:57 AM

Although Matty is correct that you wont get the cascading submenu on Vista/Win7 (because they don't support it anymore), you should be presented with a dialog where you can pick your contacts when you click on your email address.

Can you tell us the exact version of the script and also what the exact command line is behind that item in the menu?

Also, is the preferences menu, the second option to "Display all online contacts" should be disabled if you use Vista/Win7. If it is not, you either are using an old version or it doesn't recognize Win7 64bits properly.

You'll fnd the version number in the about window of the script.
It should be 2.4.2. If not, download the latest version from the official scripting database.

The command line can be accessed if you right click that menu item (your email address) and choose properties.

Though, it could be one of those incompatibilities of 64bits which I can't check myself (I don't have Win7 64bits).

confirmed for the error.
windows 7 x64 RTM. latest version of the script.
the second option in the preferences is greyed out.

if i select a file, right click, send to, right click on my email adress with wlm logo, i get :

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by CookieRevised on 06-27-2010 at 02:28 PM

That's not the properties page. You've executed the link again.
You mustn't select a file first, you should go to the SendTo folder first before you right click on the item.

1) Go to the SendTo folder for your Windows OS.

For Vista/7 this should be in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo
%APPDATA% is an environment variable that actually maps to something like C:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming.

Or type "shell:sendto" (without the quotes) into the location bar of an Explorer window.

2) Right click the link "WLM - xxx@xxx"

3) Choose properties

RE: [Release] SendTo v2.2 [Final] by moondoggie on 06-28-2010 at 02:40 PM

ah, so it was a miss understanding. i found it odd that u asked for what i wrote.
C:\Windows\system32\REGSVR32.exe "C:\Program Files (x86)\Messenger Plus! Live\Scripts\SendTo\_sendfile.dll" /s /n /i:ichimaru.gin@*.org*ichimaru.gin@*.org ""

thats the target of the wlm shortcut, and the security is set to system, my account, and administrators...
