Okay, so I had this idea, which I thought might be nice.

What would happen, is you people would "sign up", and then, in a few days, when there are enough people, I would assign people into pairs. I would PM everyone and tell them who their partner is, and then you'd have the time up until Christmas Eve to do something for your chosen person. This could be a graphical image, could take a photo, write something, or perhaps send something if you are comfortable with giving your address to me to pass onto the person who wants to send something.

Once you'd done this, you would submit whatever you want for your chosen person to me, via PM or e-mail. I would then distribute them to the people, obviously, to keep it secret. Then your chosen person would have to guess who actually made/wrote/whatever them something.

To keep it simple to guess, because I know you don't want to use your brains too much around christmas, I would suggest you "hint" at who you are in whatever you put, say, I would draw a little lobster in the corner, or I would vector something.

I think this is all I'm gunna put for now, can't think of anything else. Any questions - ask me. Otherwise, if you like the idea, sign up! I'll probably end signing up on the 8th or 9th.

And also! If you are signing up, it would be nice if you took the time to just write down a couple of things you like in this thread with your reply.
If you don't celebrate christmas you can still participate. (Thanks for making me realise that Sam.)
Your partner will be completely random, unless, you have a specific person in the list who you do not want to be paired up to, and a good reason why.
Obviously this isn't just about you recieving something, it's about you giving something, so don't make something half-assed then think "yeah, I'll get something better back".
In your post, please put whether or not you would want any physical mail or not.(happy now NiteMare?)
If you want to submit your thing before christmas eve, then it's fine, but I'll most likely distribute them all on christmas eve, so, yeah, that'll probably be the deadline for getting things in, unless it's physical mail, which you would have to send yourself before that time, but remember not to sign your name, just put "your secret santa" or something.
This is gunna sound nasty, BUT! If you have been here for less than a month, or are an incredibly rare poster, I'd say that you can't participate. I'm not saying it to be nasty, I'm just thinking that people may not know you, be unwilling to do something for you, etc. No offense meant, and don't feel bad!
If you are willing to give your mobile phone number out via me, like the physical mail address thing, then SMS's can be sent. (Good idea, ins4ne. )

Especially with physical mail, that'd have to be sent of your own accord, otherwise, I'll just have a deadline, so yeah, when you've be assigned a person, you'll have to tell me whether you're sending something physical or not, and that, if they are fine with recieving it.

I remember I read it in the first post but I'm very lazy and on the phone with my GF atm (in 2 mins) and she thinks 'when I'm typing or clicking', I'm typing to other girls? How do I do to send the mail? I'm a 'nub' I know but beter be a 'Nub' than lose my GF .

She probably started this so people would have fun and it'd be a nice thing to do. But people join in and dont make a effort.

If by tomorrow evening (when I'm sending things out) I don't have certain peoples gifts, whether it just be an ecard (heck, ecards can mean a lot too!), or whatever else, then I will be sending something out to each person without a gift, so they're not left out, due to other peoples not bothering. You were all eager when you signed up, and several people haven't had much time but they've still completed something! I would be disappointed, but it seems to be the way this is going with some people. I can understand it being something little like an ecard, but I cannot understand not completing anything at all.

Thanks to all those who have participated so far though, you've made setting this up worthwhile!
