I have this problem after I updated messenger plus. It says "the application or DLL C:\proggramfiles\MSN Messenger\msgslang(2).dll is not a valid windows image. Please check against your installation diskette. " I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and its still the same...it also says software unloaded on the plus tab.  please help. Thanks

I dont think I understand your problem.

But you could try unistalling Msg Plus! Live then deleting its folder
(C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live or something like that)

If that doesnt work try unistall and reinstalling WLM too.

I'm also having the same problem.  I tried uninstalling everything and then reinstalling but no joy!  Any ideas on how to rectify this promlem?

try uninstalling messenger plus live and Windows live messenger..
then make sure that the map:
C:\Program Files\MSN messenger\  is empty, if not there may be another messenger on your system (7.5 for example) is so uninstall that one...
If not delete all the files in the MSN messenger folder...

install Windows Live Messenger and after that install messenger plus live...
that should fix it...

-Uninstall WLM
-Delete MSN Messenger Folder In Program Files
-Install WLM
-Install MP!L

i *think* the problem is that they patched wlm and the patch crapped the dll....

i automatically downloaded the update for the newest Plus!, and i got the same error the original poster got.

i did what you recommended in this forum, and it worked.

Well I got that error too and just went into the msn messenger folder C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\   and deleted msgslang(2).dll

now no more problems/errors and starts up fine
