RE: Help save my christmas! Please! by Vimto on 12-07-2006 at 06:20 PM

Clothes ? Why don't you just ask for the money and get whatever you want. Or keep it .. You never know when you'll need money.

well if that is the case I don't think your Christmas needs saving...

Gah, the way you have described your thread makes me feel you don't deserve the presents, sorry, but saying you won't get the present you want is a 'disaster' is wrong :P

Despite saying that, don't get an iPod, new ones are coming out very very very soon. Nintendo Wii is the best buy at the moment, seriously, it's worth every penny. And that's only half your 'budget'. However you may have left it a bit too late, it comes out tomorrow, and Britain is doing a pre-order service. LittleWoods is still selling them though, I recommend you ask your mom to pre-order one ASAP, ready for pick up tomorrow.

You say still pre-order from there. Argos may help, they are getting huge stocks :P

No wai. Ps3 ftw xD. Or ask for a PC upgrade :).

RE: Help save my christmas! Please! by EBFL on 12-07-2006 at 08:36 PM

Why not ask your mum for just the money then you can save it for when you really need it.

From that list, i woud either get the Wii or the PSP.

Now it depends if you travel alot, if so then i would go for the PSP as it is a very nifty piece of kit. I use mine all the time.
For 'fun' though, and if you don't travel i'd go for the Wii. (i'm not saying the PSP isn't fun but.. :P)

RE: Help save my christmas! Please! by Tasha on 12-07-2006 at 08:43 PM

How about getting the money, giving some of it to people who don't have nearly as much as you, brightening their christmas/new year, then saving the rest, for something you'll really need and will actually use for more than a few months?

Meh.:P

Edit: Oh, and not to sound weird, but the way you act about getting so much money, and how if you don't make your mind up, it could "lead to disaster", I find pretty pathetic, in a way. You're getting £350/400 spent on you, you should be happy with whatever you get, tbh. You're not going to die if you don't get exactly what you want.8-)

E.g. Maybe give some money to places like Oxfam and buy stuff like socks and clothes? 8-)

Not necessarily somewhere like Oxfam, plenty of charities/hospices/whatever out there. And I meant save it, for perhaps, when he's older or whatever, it could be useful for something. (E.g college stuff and all that, but hey8-))
RE: Help save my christmas! Please! by John Anderton on 12-07-2006 at 08:49 PM

RE: Help save my christmas! Please! by absorbation on 12-08-2006 at 05:59 PM

Nintendo Wii all the way, however it seems there is a shortage of stock at the moment, and even pre-ordered consoles may come after Christmas in their mid January stock.

Your mom will need to buy it within the next few days to get one really, unless Nintendo has some secret stock coming.

ask for the money then donate it to the people that maybe do want some of that stuff or people that would even like just food for christmas and people that are more infortunate???

RE: Help save my christmas! Please! by FrozenDaggers on 12-08-2006 at 11:08 PM

I think some people need to learn the true value of money. Does it really MATTER what you get? I think you're too concerned with material possesions rather than actually using the money for something good, such as Tasha's idea.
