I keep unchecking "enable logging" in the chat window but it keeps rechecking itself how do i disable it for good? thank you for the help.

Plus > Preferences > Conversations > chat logging..
uncheck "Save all my chats to log files by default"

ok now thats done how do i stop it from remembering convosations it had from the day before it keeps bringing them up everytime i start a convo window.

This is a function of WLM..
Go on > WLM's opitions > Messages > untick "show my last conversation in new conversations windows" or something similar...
