Hi, i thought this would be a nice idea for a thread. Write your stories for how you came to be where you are now, a member of the greatest forum of all time!
Mine:
It was the summer holidays, and i had been using WLM 8.0 since the first beta stage, and was currently using the first proper release. but then i thought "hold on, wheres my tabbed chats?" i realised i had no plus! for this version.
So i deverted back to 7.5 till plus was out for 8.0.. and after a while, it came out.
So anyway, life went on.. i was using WLM and plus! live. and then i encountered a problem with my plus! (i think it was something to do with the /command, but not sure :/) so i found this a registered. I searched and found the answer. but then i wanted to join. i did so. and then i wanted to post my first thread. i did so. (wow this was spammy . i will allways look back at that in disgust..
And then my good friend (now named quacky) told me he'd joined and replied to my thread. and then it started.

So what was yours?

I used Messenger Plus, saw the forum and said.

"k. I'll join"

Since MP!L was released i used to search for some scripts, then i found that before the scripts were submitted on the scripts database, they were here, so one day i decided to join

I joined just after plugins were add to MsgPlus 3.x and asked some n00b questions about sending files which then led to me making Screenshot Sender 1

I was looking for something very special at that time.

I was browsing the net..and i went on the messenger plus website to download it and i needed help to install it so i joined, by the time i joined it installed, so i thought what the heck
and i think i had another problem, i think i posted it here

I registered on this forum after a long time that I started to see it... Someday in my mind gets the click "Why not enter on forum?" and here I am now...

Joined on 02-08-2006 (UK Format). My first version of plus was MP!L and I downloaded it as soon as it was released (pressing F5 every 10 seconds). I think I heard about the forum in the scripting documentation after I'd started some work on a script. The first post is here. I mainly stayed in Scripts, but moved out into some others to either offer advice or help and then started to post in more "useless" threads (like this one ). I've had to create a new group in msn just for people from the forum...

I've NEVER been banned (that I've noticed anyway )

Well my first version of plus was 3.00 I'm quite sure.  But I later deleted it for some reason and didn't get it again until like version 3.5x.  From there I looked at the forums from time to time and when WLM's first beta was released I started becoming a bit more of a regular guest.  When Patchou posted about the beta testers I decided to sign-up and take a chance (please don't go looking for my first n00b post) and since then I have become a bit of a regular.  And that's my boring story.

Well, Valspy being my cousin in law told me about this great program, then told me about this great forum. But the forum wasn't that great after a few days, so he showed me another great program and another great forum, and here i am!

I first started using MSG plus! when version 2.x came out. It was introduced by my sister's friend. I was a computer idiot then, knew nothing about technology. My sis however didn't download nor install the program, but I did do that. Back then, our PC was super lag. Virus here and there. Crashes everywhere.
I can still remember the first installation of Plus!, it's crappy (no offence). When the installation is completed, there came the pop-ups from the sponsors that were being installed on my PC. After I switched off my PC using the power button and back on, all the accounts were gone and had to reformat. From then on, I stopped using Plus!... After the release of version 3, I started using again, and the features were great, but still the sponsors were installed but not as crappy as before when first installed. But after a few days, I decided to uninstall Plus! and started cursing it to bring unnecessary pop-ups. I was super annoyed.
When the version with the option of whether to install the sponsor or not came out, I install Plus! again....
But I didn't register to the forum. I begin to fall in love with Plus! and, and decided to register it this year to check out the features for version 4 when it was announced on the main page. Hoping that it won't be as crappy as version 2.x (no offence).

And here I am.

Well, i had just downloaded plus! and i had a problem, so i posted in help and support, then i just started to use the other forums, until i got to where i am now

This year when i got an internet connection back during March(after 3 years ). I was quite a newb at that time. My friends told me to download MSN Messenger as they thought that anyone who has MSN Messenger is cool . I was searching for cool things for MSN Messenger when i read about MP! 3.63 at mess.be. I download it. After some days i discovered Windows Live Messenger BETA.I asked on IRC if there was any version of Plus! available for WLM. I got no replies. I came the forum and searched. I was disappointed for MP!L wasn't available to the public and BETA testers had been chosen . And then idk what happened to make me join this forum .

i saw a thread DZ Mentioned he had porn so hey i thought i'd join

I screwed with the DB of the forum before this one so we lost all the posts, that was when I had it with free remotely hosted forums. So I opened a topic asking for help so we could host our own forum somewhere. Surfi was the really cool guy that helped us out together with wj . User ID #3!

My life on the Plus! forums actually started on the very first forum (this is the 3rd forum, or even 4th if you count DevBB and MyBB as two). Was already using Plus! before they even had the first forum (which had no user registration, everyone posting as guest ), so I can officially say I’ve been here since the beginning .

And how I started using Plus? I was looking for something to get rid of the MSN banner, and googling for that i came to a http://www.tek-tips.com/ forum topic that recommended Plus! (version 1.10 at that time) .

so i joined up, posted and got the answer i wanted - then i carriedon using the forums.

my friend told me about it, thought it would be fun to sign up and so I did. Now I'm just looking around and searching for cool scripts

Back in '04 I decided to join, no reason. Considering my join date I have very few posts. Good forum, keep it up.

the msn server was down or some shit so i was looking through all the options and then i was looking through the Plus! thing and then i found the website link and then went to Help (or something) and found the forums, so i joined.. i forget waht i did,but i know i flamed Plus! and crap, got banned.

few months later i joined again (aw yeah, they let me cause im sweet.) and have stayed for a few years

~INVASION~ told me to come here and read about the msn7.0 problems they were having with the server or something (registration date) because it wouldnt work so he told me it was down and stuff and I didnt know what he was talking about so he got tired of trying to tell me and told me to come here and read about all the problems and how gay it was back then

Back when 2.0 was released, I had a problem installing Messenger Plus! so I came here for support, have yet to leave.
