In plus for 7.5 there was the option to "append nickname to contact name" so you could define a custom name for your contact and add it onto their normal name.
Is there a way to do this on the live messenger plus? Can't seem to find it anywhere 
If not is it going to be re-implemented? Was really useful.

Right Click Contact -> Add Nickname
This is a feature of windows live messenger and is no longer in Messenger Plus!
As to it every coming back to Messenger Plus!, well if Microsoft don't develop the feature further it could make a comeback, but at the reate things are going, it's looking very slim.

Also, just ading that I discoverd that you can add the Plus! codes on the WLM's nickname...

Also, if you use tabs, the name in the tabs doesn't show the nickname you give them, it shows either the email or their display name depending on your settings.
The reason behind this is because Plus! has no way of reading this information about the contact at themoment but rest assured that when Patchou does find a way that he will implement it.

That's if he does... you can't be 100% sure as Microsoft could end up developing the feature further making it harder for Plus! to bring it back. But at this rate it's looking a bit slim.

Microsoft develop features? Since when? As far as I can see is they set and forget.
I personally think with the programming ability of Patchou we will see it soon enough, we will just have to wait until that time though. I feel there are a lot more important things that Patchou can do before that though, he can just keep adding other features until someone else finds a way of cracking it or someone at Microsoft helps him out a little
