I was wondering if their was a way or a plugin to view what the other user is typing?Down in the bottom it says the user is typing a message I was wondering if you could view what they were typing.

there's no "reason", that implies that there's something in the protocol preventing it. it just doesn't exist 8-)

You can get a program that you install and if some one else signs in from YOUR computer it reads what is typed like a key logger. Its called a sniffer.

If you want to prevent this there is a script that will encrypt your msg. :)

I would like to take advantage of this thread and ask (especially the thread starter) why would one want to know what the other user is typing. We get this question frequently, both on the forums and the IRC channel, and I was never able to understand the reasoning behind this, if there is one.

If the user is typing it, it means he's going to send it anyway. So what's the point in viewing it earlier? What, you're afraid he won't send it anymore? So what? Maybe the message he was typing became useless, or he wanted to rephrase it. I simply don't get it.
