URGENT: Rapidshare Points Conversion by Seamaiden on 12-31-2006 at 11:23 AM

I hope it's ok to post this here. If you are a Premium user at Rapidshare.com, this is for you. And this is happening today or tomorrow, depending on your time zone. Don't miss it!

Some of you guys might upload your scripts, skins, and other enhancement tools for Plus! to RapidShare, and that's why I posted this here. Sorry if this is considered spam.

RapidShare.com - News

30. Dec. 2006

Today we have installed a new logo on our website. We hope you like it. Furthermore we will offer something very nice for the attentive user at New Year's Eve. On 1.1.2007 at 00:00 sharp central european time (CET) you will be able to convert 1000 of your premium points instead of 10000 points. This means you can extend your account for a month by spending only 1000 points. You can also create a new account for only 1000 points.

This special offer is only valid for exactly one hour, so from 00:00 to 00:59 am.

To find out when this will occur in YOUR time zone, go to this website.

code:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
Convert FROM: Jan 1, 2007 00/12am UTC/GMC
Convert TO: your local time

Then set your clocks or reminder programs. Log into your Rapidshare.com Premium account 5 or 10 min before midnight CET. And then a few minutes after midnight (just to be safe), click that "Convert points" button!

This is for rapidshare.com ONLY.
(Rapidshare.de did away with points.)

That website is damn confusing

so for GMT it would be 11-12?

I didn't realize they weren't the same. I thought CET was the same as GMT/UTC. Or are they? Central European Time doesn't appear in the dropdown list for the converter.

Any other time zone conversion sites that might not be so confusing?

My local time is US Pacific. So far, I'm under the impression that this will occur for me today (Dec 31, 2006) at 4pm. But if that's wrong, let me know. I want to convert all my premium points, but I need to do it at the right hour since they're only letting you do it for 1 hour.

this site is good
http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/europe...ral-european-time/

it has a clock

it apparently checks your pc time or something... not quite sure, but it shows your the time in CET... so you can look at your watch, look at the website clock, and work out the difference....

CET = GMT/UTC+1

CET - Central European Time
Time zone offset: UTC + 1 hour
CET is 1 hour ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)
Damn, MenthiX beat me =P

Therefore this will take place between 23:00 and 23:59 on the 31/12/06 in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), which is the same as GMT.

Pacific Standard Time (PST) is UTC-8, so it will take place for seamaiden between 15:00 and 15:59. (I think).

So it will be between 3pm and 4pm for me. Thanks.
