It depends, i got a free upgrade to vista with my XP
It depends who you buy your computer with as I bout mine with Mesh computers

even if you do get a free upgrade you have to register for it. Head to the microsoft website, there is a thing called express upgade on the front page, click that and enter your computer code, this should possibly tell you if you are eligble or not.


EDIT, This is the website here to know if your PC is eligible.

You can get a free upgrade if you buy the Compaq media edition.

So, if I can't find IBM in the select manufacturer (wow i spelt it right without firefox :o ) list, then it is not compatible? Even knew IBMS?

I doubt it will be compatible with your laptop... you only have 64mb ram..

you need atleast 512mb.. and you need atleast a 800mhz processor aswell.

Credit card will be for postage costs and/or packaging.

Home premium is cool,, i guess you are running Windows xp media centre edition?

I love vista, i currently use Ultimate edition.
Only had few minor issue's with it all of which can be fixed some way or another. i'm hoping when it gets released to the public.

Manufactures like Nvidia, ATi, creative etc will have proper drivers release for there hardware :)
