quote: Isn't that what DMOZ is? A change to IPv6 would be pretty cool. But what i'd also like to see is microformats used on all webpages, so things like menu elements can be extracted by computer programs, which would lead to really cool stuff being done with web browsers. RE: What changes would you like to see on the internet? by Fuse on 01-04-2007 at 02:47 PM yeah id want a huge speed increase and free site for everyone , like eveyone had their own domain. that's be cool. I got an adress from my ISP. Years ago and I was intelligent enough to give it out everywhere and to everyone. Sometimes I check it to see if I haven't got an email from my aunt in America. Then I need to download 15.000+ emails and after that I see I haven't got one from my aunt ¬¬. RE: What changes would you like to see on the internet? by Rolando on 01-05-2007 at 02:12 AM
I'd like MySpace and Facebox to die. People spend way too much time on 'em. quote: Like.. porn movies? That would be awesome! RE: What changes would you like to see on the internet? by Nagamasa on 01-05-2007 at 03:38 AM

quote: It's ok if they are destroyed, but there should be enough fallback networks to route over. In the case of Taiwan that wasn't possible. In Europe and the USA, that wouldn't happen cause there are more IX's so if one dies the packets are routed of the others. But still, when AMS-IX went down during the black-out on the SciencePark half the internet wasn't accesable. But I guess that was just a configuration error by the ISP's that they didn't switch to other IX's yet, so half the packets were dropping. quote: Go free Wi-fi! I must say, if there was Wi-fi everywhere, wireless products that use Wi-Fi would be a lot more useful, and actually be completely Portable. For example, if you want to use the Internet on a PSP, you have to be near a Wi-Fi connection. And you cant move the PSP out of the connection area, so its isn't really 'portable'. It just a 'mini' PS2. RE: What changes would you like to see on the internet? by ayjay on 01-20-2007 at 09:56 PM more standards, less drm.
