Find copies of images by Woraug on 01-05-2007 at 03:51 PM

I had a program a while back, that could search through a specified location, look at all the image files there, and find any copies of images.  I don't remember the name of the program, or even how I came across it.  Anyone know the name of a program like this, or perhaps a link?

hm. there is a program called noclone, where you can specify a filename or extension for the files you want to compare, it does it bit by bit, and its quite nice, used it for duplicate mp3s alot.

bit by bit comparisson is useless when you want to find duplicated or similar images.

Even for MP3s and other media files it is quite useless since you can perfectly have a (bit by bit) identical sound, but with some slightly different tags in the file. So a pure bit by bit file comparisson is not good in such cases.

Comparing same media (like in images, sounds, etc) for duplicates or likelyness requires a bit of a smart program (if done properly).

PS: Three years ago, I asked the same thing, but for MP3s. No real solution was given... "compare MP3's"
