Drivers.. by Rolando on 01-21-2007 at 09:51 PM
So. Here's my story:
I formatted my PC but I forgot to take note of the drivers I had.
I found some of them, but I still cant find others.
Is there any way, a program or something that runs some tests to see what drivers I need?
I tried searching in my computer (removed the case) but there were so many names and stuff I didn't know where to start.
Any help is greatly appreciated and sorry for my noobness for formatting my PC without taking note of the drivers.
PS: Its a custom build PC.

DO you have the CD's that came with all your hardware?

Well, the most common hardware that requires drivers are Video card, Sound card (most of the time is integrated on the motherboard, so you have to know which one do you have) and network card.
I would suggest searching for the disc (if you have it) or go to the manufactures website of your motherboard and videocard, sometimes they have utilities to let you know which one you have.
EDIT: I found this program on a disc I have, but it does the trick. Its called DriverGenius
