is this possible with a script? by Supersonicdarky on 01-25-2007 at 04:01 AM

is it possible to overlay an image (and maybe text) over your current dp? (when you say a certain command)

and when you say another command it overlays something else over the original dp?

You can write text on your DP picture and set that but that would be the only option.

It's possible. Scripts can get and change DPs. I don't know if the image manipulation can be done from inside a script, or if a helper program will be needed (as "Something very similar" suggests), but I think that a helper will be needed.

A "helper" DLL isn't needed. What such DLL's do is nothing more than using some Windows APIs to overlay text on images. Since Plus! scripts support calling APIs this can also be done from within the script. Doesn't mean it would be easy or it wouldn't require much code though, but it is very possible....
