Well i hate itunes, it lags badly and i dont like how it works.. Anyone know of a program that can put songs/videos in your iPod, just not iTunes?

i tried it with realPlayer once and it edited it by its self (syncronised it but with no tunes ) so just warning you dont use it

I remember having trouble with it time ago... but I cant remember if it was my iPod or WinAmp itself

I got a new iPod last week While we're on the subject, anyone know any extra programs or hacks I cn download onto my iPod? It's 5G, 30GB.... all I get when i google is "TAKE YOUR IPOD APART AND MAKE A SKIN MADE OUT OF WOOD!" (), altenitives to iTunes & other such bollocks.

xplay is good program if you want to be able to see your ipod as a mass storage device (as in for the actual songs). used it when someone lent their ipod so i could put a whole bunch of music on there.

Nahhh, i mean like, programs I can use on my actual ipod when im out, like extra games (I dont want extra games but ya get me)

Yes, follow the instructions.

Rockbox is great, but it seems to drain the battery a bit more than the Apple OS. Fortunately, I have my iPod set up to dual boot =]

No you can use the songs that are already on. Enable the database feature. Once you've done that they'll show up =]

No, that just builds a database file of your music for rockbox to use. It won't affect your iPod firmware at all.
