Another "MSN trouble Help" Thread by Michael_aus1 on 02-10-2007 at 03:32 AM

I recently set up my router, connecting the two computers to the router, and from there, to the internet modem.
Ever since installing my router, I cannot connect to Net.Messenger and some websites. When signing on MSN I get the msg; "Signing in to MSN messenger failed because the service is too busy" i've tried turning off the other computer to free up the net however this worked to no Avril.
When going to Tools>options>connection> The connection status says; "You are currently NOT connected to .NET Messenger Service."
"You are connected to the internet through wired network connection."
After trying Connection Trouble Shooter, I find that the Hosts File saying, "Your hosts file contains MSN Messenger related entries which may interfere with name resolution"
when clicking on repair, it doesn't to diddly squat! :)
So i'm just asking what's going on and thanking you in advance for helping, I'm running MSN msg. 7.5
This problem seems to persist with both computers aswell

Try changing the settings for your router. It might work. That's what I did the first time I've my router.
