Go into your Windows Live Messenger program files in C:/ProgramFiles/Msn Messenger  and then find WINHTTP.dll and delete it and then close your messenger and open it again and everythin should work properly.

Its Hidden. Things hidden still apear on my computer, dno y tho. You Will have to repair your Windows Live Messenger in the Add/Remove Programs thing and then it should be gone.

Didn't find this file "WINHTTP.dll" in "Msn Messenger" folder.

It can be found in system32 and servicepack2 folder... dont really rememeber where. It is associated with "Windows HTTP Services". Is not recomended to delete it even if is not a system dll

Just uninstall the messenger and then go to the folder where you installed the messenger, there is a hiden file "x".dll. IS NOT "WINHTTP.dll".
delete that file, or just delete manualy the "msn messenger" folder and reinstall your messenger(didnt lose my emos, winks, etc).

Maybe you get that black box coz you deleted WINHTTP.dll...
