hi, just wondering if when you login to msn using more than one account, is there any way to have the second icon in the windows notification area different?

If not can this please be added in the future?

The feature is called Polygamy. To enable Polygamy Plus! > Preferences > Messenger > Main > Multiple Accounts > Allow me to connect to multiple accounts simentaneously. You'll need to restart messenger in order for this to take effect.

a simple way would to be just set a different status on one of them

yeah, i know, i already use that feature.
What I'm asking is, If say i connect to 4 different accounts at the same time, the 4 icons all look the same in the notification area.
It would be REALLY handy if each icon was different.

but annyoing at the same time, and you have to remember who you have set status for.

There is a script to change the tool-tip when you hover over the icons, i will try and find it...

EDIT: [Release] Email tooltip. I do realise it is not exactly what you were looking for but it should help.

Try using Enhancer. It has the option to change the system tray icon... don't know if it would work well with Polygamy aswell, but you can try it

You can also use Email Tooptip.

Hopefully though it can be made a feature or something, if its not hard to incorporate.

just one question, I tried both of them, ok to have both installed, any conflicts will happen or anything?

No there is no such conflict except for the fact that even Enhancer has the option to change the tooltips... If you specify tooltips with both the script, it might create a conflict. So, using Enhancer is good enough
