Is that possible? I just renamed livecall.exe to livecall.exe_ for now. It uses 20mb of my precious ram.. RE: Disable livecall startup? by color680 on 03-04-2007 at 05:53 PM
Go to start>run then type msconfig RE: Disable livecall startup? by ChromeX on 03-04-2007 at 06:17 PM If it was so easy, i would never ask here, because livecall.exe does not compare in the list. And if i terminate it from task manager, it starts itself after some time, but thanks for the suggestion RE: Disable livecall startup? by color680 on 03-04-2007 at 06:21 PM
sorry, try the startup up folder? RE: Disable livecall startup? by ChromeX on 03-04-2007 at 06:28 PM No man, its neither in the startup folder, it starts only when WLM starts RE: Disable livecall startup? by scott2010_h on 03-04-2007 at 08:41 PM RE: Disable livecall startup? by ChromeX on 03-04-2007 at 08:49 PM Wohoo, thanks RE: Disable livecall startup? by lndiana on 03-07-2007 at 10:38 PM

quote: yes, onlny if you restart messenger. my pc is on 24/7 and so is my messenger. i don't shut it down and installer never comes out RE: Disable livecall startup? by Rathulfr on 04-29-2007 at 02:09 PM
The suggestions above won't work for most users, because most users have to restart either Messenger or their computers, occasionally. If you delete/rename the registry key, Messenger throws an error when starting up. If you delete/rename the file, the MSI repair puts it back. So there's no winning either way. quote:I would not call this a 100% working solution at all. What is described there simply cripples Messenger and some stuff wont work anymore. Moreover, the 'solution' given there has already been linked to in this thread by scott2010_h. Please don't bump threads with repeated information. |
