Foam floats for sure. How much weight it can take is a different matter :P

Just use a plastic or styrofoam fast-food container, with some play-dough to attach two paddlepop stick (icecream sticks) masts to the boat with a piece of paper between the two sticks for a sail :p

Lol it only has to float to pass, i could get a friggen cork and stick a twig in it and say its a boat, but i want a half decent one atleast, someone recommended "Balsa" your thoughts?

balsa wood is really easy to work with, and is really buoyant

I remember that one of my friends had to make a boat that had to hold a person before. The only allowable materials were cardboard and duct tape :P
