I just accidently navigated to "http://shoutbox.menthix.net/index.p" and I got the old (ugly) logo MP2/3 logo:

Is there any chance you can change it as it does not fit the forums. :)

But, although it may only be a 5 minute job, it isn't really worth that much effort for good old 404..

Well.. It's simply just changing the image, it's less than 20 seconds job. :)

Well, I realized how crappy the page was, so I rewrote it to be XHTML Strict, and not use tables anymore. :tongue:

Also, I'm not sure if we have a good image to use there. I like how the old one says "community forums" on it...

Copy the "community forums" text, and place over "the windows live messenger extension" on the new logo :tongue:

I think it'd be better off with sort of bold text, and spaced out more, like the one on the original..

I think you should change the 404 page to match the standard forum error page
That way, all of the normal links and template are already there, just change the error message!

I think 404/403 error pages should be small and simple. Not integrated with the board at all (because they need to function independently of the board). One image and a link to the index page is fine. =p

The pages aren't seen much anyway.

edit: the centering looked a bit funny on that one (it was centered to the "Messenger Plus! Live" text). It looks a bit better (at least to me) centered to the text and the space between the logo and the text:

There's no need to put any work into making a cool logo for the 404 page... :p

I was planning to use the image I posted above, but Choli's is better IMO, so I'll switch to that. Thanks.

deAd: I like the font and color of Choli's version better... plus it has a cool shadow under the logo. But thanks anyway. (a)




I'll update the pages soon... I'm busy reorganizing my My Documents folder.
