Anyone ever tell you that you spend too much time monkeying around with video games? a zoo in Atlanta has put up some minimalistic 'games' in their orangutan pen, and gotten them to actually test it out.

Story on CNN:

so basically they're teaching them to play with the games by positive reinforcement with food, kinda reminds me of Google's "PidgeonRank Technology" :P I wonder if we as humans will ever be able to actually teach other animals to do some other technical tasks like this.

What kinds of things do you think you'd want a monkey to do for you if you had a pet monkey?

I'd get him to clean my room :refuck:

I had two pet monkeys :cheesy:

All they did was defecate when you annoyed them though =P

"I want a monkey with a sword and armor that I can battle. How stoked would you be driving home from work knowing theres a monkey waiting for you to battle" -Dane Cook

I wouldn't have pet monkeys because its probably not the best pet to keep in the house. Leave the animals out of technology, it will probably corrupt them in some way.

Rescue dogs, dogs for disabled people, therapy animals, household helping dogs, rescue dolphins, de-mining dolphins, etc etc.. you name it.

You would be surprised in how much animals can learn and do.

;)
