New comp, graphics card by Hybrid on 05-01-2007 at 09:20 PM

Getting a new comp from best buy, and I want to be sure it's up to date and perfect for gaming
Here's the description for the graphics card for the comp I want
"ATI RADEON X1950 CrossFire graphics with 512MB video memory; CrossFire cable (included) allows for dual card configurations and features dual DVI-I with HDCP interfaces"
Here's the link to what I want:

I'm looking for something for hardcore gaming I want to keep all my graphics up to high level.

The ATI RADEON X1950 CrossFire is already a very good card. Why even look at other cards if you want that PC?

Dude, those are some expensive (outdated) prices.. Go to a good store please..

Here's a quick config :

Power Source : Silverston Olympia 1000W
CPU : Core 2 Duo E6600
Motherboard : eVGA 680i
RAM : Geil PC2-6400 2 x 1024 Mb
Video Cards : 2 x eVGA 8800 GTS KO ACS3 (aka 8800GTS SLI)
Hard Drive : Western Digital 250 GB 16 Mb Cache SATA II WD2500YD
Sound Card : Auzentech X-Meridian 7.1 Digital DTS
Optical Drive : Asus DRW-1814BLT DVD-RW
Speakers : Logitech Z-5450 Digital (5.1)

If you are willing to spend 2400$.. That's a great build that will run any game with everything maxed up

Forgot to add a case, just add 100-250 $ more..

No he isn't. He talked about 8800 GTS not GTX.. And that's quite an expensive ammount btw, even for a GTX.. The actual value is 200 - 300 $ less

Damn right! *is still waiting for Crysis* =(

My opinion: If you have the money, go for a the best graphics card you can buy. But the X1950 isn't exactly too bad.

But the card isn't 700$ anymore.. It's 500 - 600 $
