:p I had to disable that old Javascript-based length limiter when I made the changes described here: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=73653

No, there's still a limit, but it's only enforced on the server side, not with Javascript.

Not exactly... the counter still works under 400 chars, and it's kinda useful to know the length of your sig... 8-)

But really I just couldn't be bothered removing it... making it say "LOL" = fun! :cheesy:

I thought this would be the main problem with the feature, getting the javascript to work around it. The Javascript code has always been dodgy for signature length. I think PHP should be used to display how many characters you have remaining (of course the real time effect will be gone) :P.
