Hey everyone, me and nanafreak are starting a Messenger Plus! Live Counter-strike: source clan and was wondering would anyone like to join? The clan is open to anyone in the community that wants to join, also if you have a friend who would like to join, they are welcome to. Also dont worry if you are a little bit noob at the game, you soon will be good :P

Currently we have two members, me and NanaFreak,but the list will grow. If you would like to join just reply to this thread.

We did this a while back (I believe it was blade who started it last time :P) but it never got very far... but anyway I'm already in a clan now so meh. :P

I have Source. But I'm quite sure it won't run under Vista. Worth a try though.

Are you going to play public or PCWs?

Edit: Discrate: You play because it's fun, not because it's good graphics. CSS is fun, but the hitboxes are very stuffed.

CSS runs under vista :)

Like most things althou steam fires up few errors when you close it in fact some times when u open it to lol

but css works fine.

Depends what you spec is.

CSS is very processor intensive.

I have dell XPS.

with an nvidia 7950GTX or w/e

intel core 2 duo proccessor.

2GB memory.

on XP i get same

I don't have CS:S any more because I only had it during their BETA, I reported LOADS of errors with screenshots and stuff, thought they'd have given me a little something in return :(

I'm still waiting for HL2 ep2 to come out I promised I'd buy HL2 -> ep2 when they released Black Mesa Source, as i played HL:S and it was shitty port over, In the end i just played HL2 off of a bat file (seriously no crack needed or anything quite disappointingly poor protection really) BUT I've tried to buy HL2 (as i truely think it's a great game/series and want to show support) but i still think it's too expensive in shops, even ep1 that was slated for a cheapo price yet it's > £20 for it STILL

On the plus side for some reason my steam account (not that i've used it in about 8 months or more!) decided to let me have HL, Op4, BS, CS legally for free :S

You can buy CS: S (and half Source SDK) for $15.

UK Prices of Valve/Steam games are stupidly expensive

I'd rather have discs than a download

The games were already activated in my account before CS: S or HL2 came out, I downloaded Steam with Counter Strike and Half Life files from gamespy/planet whatever (when steam first came out) and it said i can install these games, I did and they've stuck since, so no payment or reward as such

You can buy Half-Life2 episode 1 for 9 dollars in american money. 20 is to much for ep1 :(

I used to run my own cs server from home, worked quite well for a 20 or so player server. And that was on an old piece of crap computer that has since died on me lol. So anyone really with a spare computer, and an extra Steam account of course, can host a temporary server anyways.. Mind you I only ran it with 1.6, I havent tried running a Source server, but just an idea

I might be able to get a real game server in Montreal, QC (5 hours off NYC).

However, we'll need to find a way to make it full all the time.
