I've looked through quite a few pages of this forum but I can't find the same problem as I've encountered. If there is one if someone would point me in the right direction it'd be muchly appreciated, otherwise if anyone has any suggestions on the following problem...

I have WLM, the only add-on being Plus!. About 2 weeks back my main MSN account would freeze while signing on. It would basically freeze the whole computer, I could click cancel and maybe an hour later if I was lucky I could use the computer.

I have been able to sign into the account in question using web messenger and while having web messenger up and running, I tried signing in using the actual program. It managed to sign in enough to kick me off web messenger, but that's about all, no contact list showing up.

I have tried using 3 other accounts and they all work. I've also gotten a friend to try signing in on my account on their computer. They actually do that for me once every few days to collect my offline messages :P. But that's how I know it's not a build up of them that's causing it.

To try fixing it I have...

- Uninstalled, made sure everything was deleted, offline files, everything, restarted, re-installed, tried without plus!, tried with plus!.
- Deleted the files in the computer registry.
- Checked all firewall settings
- Tried all the fixes from http://msn-errors.blogspot.com/

Can anyone help?

Have you anything like sweetim or smiley central?

do you patch messenger?

have you tried contact Microsoft on the issue giving as much detail as possible?

No sweetim, smiley central or patches.

I've tried contacting them, a day or two after it first started happening, they didn't reply. I'll try again in a few days if I haven't worked it out.
