Why hello there...

I was playing it one minute, clicking away, like you do. Well anyway, MSN crashes on me, so i think ok... and restart it. Only to my surprise the "play and win" button has vanished. I've tried restarting msn, no luck.

Would anyone know what the problem is? I guess i could reinstall msgplus.

guess its a problem with the server, or maybe all the prizes have gone

no, prizes are there... Its still showing here on 8.5, do you guys have 8.1?

i have msn 8.1 but dunno if it matters as it was working fine before.

how do you play the contest from ie i dont know the URL

don't play the contest from IE. it is considered cheating, and you will be ineligible for prizes that way. you must use the Play and Win icon to participate

Thanks for that, for some reason it had changed to 0 for me as well (btw, I am using 8.5, not 8.1, for those people who commented about that earlier).  I wonder why this happened....

it changes back to 0 when you start messenger up again.

guess the server is telling plus to change it to 0, when messenger starts up.

Contest checks a remote file at WLM startup to see if the contest is still active. If it isn't it will automatically remove the contest icon. I guess for some reason the server is reporting the contest is over or not responding properly at all so it assumes the contest is over. Either way something is wrong, because i doubt Patchou will end the contest prematurely without notifying about it. Mailed him.

You can change the registry key to 1, but apparently Plus! will set it back to 0 on WLM startup.

Hope it will be fixed soon and all contest buttons can be remotely re-activated.

I changed it to 1 then restarted msn. Still no button.

^If what he said is true will this be fixed soon i was about to win a wii on my next click... prove me wrong plz..

You guys could always have gone to the Plus! menu in the contact list and click on Play and Win! :P

no that link was removed too.

(would be rather silly for that link to be left there too, after the contest is over)
