I'm just wondering about the numbers in moderating the forum - how many reported posts, how many deleted posts, how many moved, deleted threads, etc. Well I'm not really looking for admining (i.e, changing codes), so yeah.

Thanksies!

Yup. Well admins too, but none of the code fixing stuff-time included please?

Well I dont need exact numbers, just approx.

This would be cool too (Y)

Don't worry, I just want to know the numbers for my own sake. None of this is going to Steven Harper (unless he uses MP!L too!)

WDZ, you're being audited :P

I don't see how this information is relevant. It doesn't matter how much work they do. The more work they do, is simply because there are members misbehaving. On top of that, a member who is supposed to be gone shouldn't even care about the information.

Just a number on total reported posts? :P

The average number of reports per day in the last month was 18. In the last 6 months, the average drops to 10.

The number of reports isn't all that interesting, because the report feature can be used for a variety of reasons. Some reports are easy to deal with, some are a pain in the ass, some are totally bogus. :p Sometimes the same post is reported more than once, sometimes a whole series of posts in one thread is reported, the list of examples goes on...

As for deleting posts/threads, there's no straightforward way to obtain those statistics. Even if I wrote a script to parse the moderator logs, there would be some guesswork involved. There are lots of ways to delete a post...

- Deleting it individually
- Merging it with another post
- Deleting the thread it's in
- Pruning T&T

And not everything is logged in great detail. Besides, I'm not sure if I want to share that info.

Wow, I didn't believe that 18 posts are reported per day. I'm saying that because when I report a post it usually hasn't been reported before... Unless I report 18 posts per day! :O

I'm surprised by how few are reported, because I sometimes report 4 spam posts a day...

Thanks :D
