I hate seeing names that look like the first two on my list. It pisses me off.

I dont use MPlus, nor do I want to.....well why come to the plus! forum and ask for help

as for actually help, no theres not unless you rename the contact locally (right click on them > edit contact > nickname)

you could:
1. get msg plus! live
2. stop usin messenger all together
3. ask the people to change there name
4. like toddy said, give them a nick name

I don't think that's a fair statement, the forums provide support for everyone who has issues/problems related to MsgPlus...

That being said, you should download MsgPlus anyway - it will allow you to see their nicknames the way that your contacts want you to see it and you can always just disable all of its features and it will pass almost completely unnoticed.
Apart from that you can do as toddy suggested and rename the contact.

Also, it's not a "problem" as you've suggested, your contacts want people who use MsgPlus (which is an extraordinarily large number of people out there and probably a significant proportion of their contacts) to see their names in a specific way, if you think it's annoying then tell them to change their nicknames to something in plaintext so that the limited number of people on their contact list who don't have MsgPlus can view it properly.
