I was wondering by Baggins on 07-04-2007 at 01:11 AM

Are there different versions of programming languages with the keywords in different languages for people who speak different languages?

eg:

code:
fonction lechez ()
{
   var cafe = vrai;
   retour 1;
}

Just a thought that came up during dinner.

Wow, you really don't realise how people code in something which seems totally different. Learning your first programming language can be hard to grasp, but without knowing what the basic words mean, I think I would still be lost.

I'm looking at members of this forum who program, and I know their first language is not English. I think it's amazing how they understood it :P.
