You know those regular, generic display pictures, like Skateboarder, Orange Daisy, Palm Trees, etc? Well, I didn't delete them, but they're gone from the list of pictures for Live Messenger. Their names remain, but the pictures themselves are gone, so they're all blank. I tried repairing Messenger, but it didn't work. What can I do to fix this?

First remove the display pictures from the list.
Then try to reinstall Messenger from scratch. This means uninstalling Messenger, downloading it again, and installing it.

But the pictures still won't show up.

What you also could try to do is completely remove everything (this will also remove your settings btw):
