Vista's Fade or slide tooltips into view problem.. by roflmao456 on 08-02-2007 at 12:10 AM

i would like it to fade again.. not slide like the old windows version >_>

like in XP, you know how you:

right click desktop > Properties > Appearance > Effects

then you can change the fading stuff of the menus and tooltips to the:

Fade effect
Scroll effect

i can't see this in vista and i don't like the scroll effect :P

how do i change it back to the fade effect?

+rep to anyone who finds a solution that works

never mind, fixed by making a new account and going to regedit in that account (HKCU/Control Panel/Desktop) and making a .reg file of the branch and then opening that in the account with the problem :p
