Pfft, the big mistake was playing robinson from the start.

RE: England Vs Germany by Knucks on 08-22-2007 at 09:00 PM

Well, what a surprise...  England have let us down yet again..   typical tbh.

:o)

but england had quite a few really good chances in the second half..

Damn. Thought England was going to win it.

The second goal from Germany was a great goal though. England played well first 20 minutes but the rest was pretty useless. Never seem to beat Germany, grr. Maybe next time.

robinson > james any day of the week.

plus we didn't lose because of robbo, he made one mistake, the outfield players made loads. the clear out that let to the goal was awful, either boot it as far up field as possible, and/or find touch (or what ever you footy fans like to call it). who ever it was, did niether just passed it to the germany player out on the wing.
both lampard, owen and somone else* should have scored

n i was only half watching the game. even fell asleep before the end

*can't remember who else has an easy shot on goal

This is what happens when you have footballs equivalent to Mike Baldwin coaching the team.

What the point of taking two strikers off and replacing them with one & a midfielder who couldn't score in a brothel if he had a diamond dick when your chasing a game? Defoe just constantly sits on the bench, for club & country, whats up with that. And why was an unfit David Beckham left on all game just to swap goalkeepers?

There were of course a two positives. Micah Richards & SWP.

Micah was outstanding yesterday. I can see big things for him should he stay at his club.. Although, it's likely he'll get snatched up by arsenal or something and stuck in the reserves...
Oh, and one more thing, apparently if cuducinni can be encouraged into getting england citizenship, he will be able to play for england. GK woes solved.

Yeah, wish that would happen again.
Germany didn't even have their captain Ballack playing. :-/
