Well finally WLM 8.5 is out of beta... so let see what the people found about this new version... have you seen so considerable changes??? have you find any problems with MP!L???

Considerable changes:
- More suckage
- General failure
- Spyware-like strategies to make you install their fucking toolbar

yes I saw that thread but I wanted to focus this thread in the good way of the release of the new WLM instead of the suite... and talk about the good changes... no the annoying WL Installer they built to make us install a bunch of bad things as you said !!!

AFAIK only very minor, unnoticeable changes in Messenger itself.

I saw a kind of new feature... PREVIEW IMAGE BEFORE SENDING SIZE (I dunno if that is the exact translation in english cuase I'm using WLM in spanish...)

the preview size option is available in 8.1.

What does "out of beta" mean? Do you mean it is not BETA anymore?

They released the official turkish version of 8.5 yesterday but it is still in the beta stage. If I visit the general download link, I can download 8.1 as usual.

i cba updating... i dont have any issues with wlm atm... and by the sounds of it, its gay to upgrade =p

I'm so tired of updates that I'm still using version 4.22 of Plus! I'll just wait for the next version, and will only update WLM with the automatic updates

The main difference is that this release is available in 35 languages, in contrast to the mere six of Beta 1. Furthermore, Messer evildust reported that the installer doesn't run on Windows Vista x64, can you believe it?

I'll be uploading the standalone installer in the next hour to help the disadvantaged. For the time being, here's a DIY-fix for x64 owners as provided by raghav.

Those suffering from customization fever can already patch Windows Live Messenger 8.5.1288.816 on-the-fly with MessPatch Light (just click the button in the left column), or wait for the ultimate tweaking pleasure as provided by the Mess Patch update later today.
