Lol, earlier i had a problem with my DNS server, and when windows suggested looking in windows help, it tries to download the help files from their site, lol stupid or what. An internet connecton problem and it tries to download help files:P

The main ones i think are included, but a lot of the "custom" ones you have to download:P

Sometimes if i had an internet problem I would get something like "Visit microsoft.com/somethingsomething for more help.

Well if it was just your dns server they might have tried to set your dns server to their dns server allowing you to download the help file...
That would be very nice off Microsoft...

Yeah... It would be great... but lets get real... M$ ain't going to do it.


First of all... don't look at the help.... it will not help you... don't call them... the person you will get will not speak English.

Just want to say... way to go Microsoft.

Yarr it's the same with Visual Studio 2005's MSDN. The problem I have is that atm online they're migrating from VS8.0 to VS9.0 help files and I'm getting quite a lot of 404's.

But does the help explorer think to check for a local copy? Noooo...

Windows Vista has an option for "Online" and "Offline" Help.  Are you sure you werent set to online help?
