SMF has this.
If you reply to a topic and theres someone replied since you clicked post reply it will say ''someone has replied you may want to review your post'' and it shows you what the reply was.
So it will tell you that someone has replied and you want have to post the same as someone else said.
It works like this:
When you click reply it will have at the end num=4 now when you reply it will send 4 to the forum but if the forum had 5 it will know there has being another reply so it will say ''there has being 1 reply since you have posted you may want to review your post''
What do you guys think?

I think it might be good only if it's only enabled in some sub-forums and not others.. for example, this would be very annoying in T&T but it might be good in MP!L Help and Support.
EDIT: Yeah, but like albert said, it isn't needed.. the edit button is alright

I prefer editing my post after I saw someone replied before me (if I need to edit indeed).
When we posted a reply, it already displays our post on the thread and unless we are in a hurry to close the window just after hitting Post Reply button, we can already see if someone posted before us.
I would be really annoyed with such a warning, and would WDZ to implement an option for it, and things will get more difficult and more annoying 
There is also a quick deletion button, and I sometimes use it when someone posted the same reply just before me.
By the way, john-t's this suggestion reminded me one of my crap suggestion for the forum, whatever
