As you can see if you're in the northern hemisphere (and have your theme set to default), the forum header from last winter is back. * vaccination prefers andreys header RE: Winter header is back by Dane on 11-23-2007 at 07:55 AM Thanks for the update DZ. Is that all the work you're going to do this week? RE: Winter header is back by Vimto on 11-23-2007 at 09:12 AM ooo the pretty snow RE: Winter header is back by Felu on 11-23-2007 at 10:01 AM Looks nice RE: Winter header is back by prashker on 11-23-2007 at 12:20 PM Now change the theme of my driveway. So I don't have to shovel it RE: Winter header is back by Matti on 11-23-2007 at 05:00 PM Great! Thanks RE: Winter header is back by Nagamasa on 11-23-2007 at 09:39 PM
quote:.me prefers andrey's too quote: And some snowflakes are cut off. RE: Winter header is back by andrey on 11-23-2007 at 10:52 PM
Okay, for those of you who like the header I posted earlier, I updated it and fixed the snow and tiling. RE: Winter header is back by Omar on 11-23-2007 at 11:46 PM
quote:Im in the northerm hemisfere.... and we dont have snow like.... ever can you fix the theme to suit me too??? RE: Winter header is back by WDZ on 11-24-2007 at 12:21 AM
quote:Yep, that's annoying... anyone know how to fix it? It actually varies based on what browser you're using and how wide the window is. =\ RE: Winter header is back by vaccination on 11-24-2007 at 12:22 AM Maybe if we just tried andreys it might work better RE: Winter header is back by Nathan on 11-24-2007 at 12:24 AM
quote:WDZ, a simple fix would be making the image bigger RE: Winter header is back by Rolando on 11-24-2007 at 12:25 AM
quote: The only way I see that it would work for every browser is to make the logo part's top transparent (removing the snowflakes as well). I don't see why it wasn't done this way anyways. I'll do it if you give me the PSD, else it's too much work =P. Just remove the blue background part and the snowflakes and save as .png.. and you're done RE: Winter header is back by Lou on 11-24-2007 at 12:28 AM
quote:Certain browsers don't support transparent png images RE: Winter header is back by Nathan on 11-24-2007 at 12:31 AM
WDZ: replace the id #header h1 , code: RE: Winter header is back by Rolando on 11-24-2007 at 12:31 AM
quote: Screw them. =P RE: Winter header is back by WDZ on 11-24-2007 at 12:35 AM
quote:How would that work? It would just cut off different snowflakes. quote:I dunno, could be because IE6 doesn't support PNG transparency, and GIF quality sucks. =p What if the logo image had position:absolute applied to it, so it would always stay in the same place (a good-looking place) on top of the tile? Edit: quote:Can't. IE6 support is still a must. RE: Winter header is back by Rolando on 11-24-2007 at 12:38 AM
quote: You could just have the header be one image, instead of the "logo" part and the tile. It's not like it takes much to load an image that long anyways. RE: Winter header is back by Nathan on 11-24-2007 at 12:38 AM WDZ: i'm trying it with a position: absolute now RE: Winter header is back by Quantum on 11-24-2007 at 01:00 AM
quote: Then people with different resolution and browser settings wont see it properly. RE: Winter header is back by WDZ on 11-24-2007 at 01:06 AM position:absolute fix has been applied; you may need to refresh to get the updated CSS. It works fine in every browser I have installed, but reply here if you have problems. RE: Winter header is back by -dt- on 11-24-2007 at 02:23 AM
quote:there are methods to force it to support it... RE: Winter header is back by markee on 11-24-2007 at 04:54 AM
quote:Add me onto the list. I'm too lazy to use stylish and would prefer a winter theme even though I'm in the southern hemisphere because we only get winter christmas movies anyway. RE: Winter header is back by Oxy on 11-24-2007 at 01:53 PM
