hi there everyone, i am trying to develope a skin i know what i want to acheive but do not know how to do it all, there are very little tutorials available on skinning right now and ideally i would like to have my skin released before christmas if possible.
the areas of my skin which i need help with are as follows:
- word wheel
contact list dashboard
contact list toolbar
convo window dashboard
convo window toolbar
testing (works fine for me but nobody else can get it to work)
if there are any nice people out there who would like to help me with this skin i would be extremely greatful.

What excatly do you want to do with the word wheel contact list dash board etc. etc.

thank you freak544 and duck, my skin is kinda basic in the sense that its mainly just puts in custom backgrounds to various elements so i want a custom background on the word well, dashboards and toolbars but dont know how to do it. im great with making the images required just not so good at the coding it all in.

Oh right I am also good at making images and I have managed to shape a window but not pad it out and also have change a few pictures on mine its just a case of finding the correct picture and changing it in skininfo.xlm once you have found the correct code places its easy but can take a lil bit of time finding the right pictures to replace

i've gotton rather proficient with photoshop, though i'm hopeless with XML

i too am getting good with graphics, my weapon of choice however is fireworks. im ok on xml now my biggest problem is although i know what i want to change i dont know the ids of what i want to change and im not very good with UIFILE syntax other than them im ok.

I am good with fireworks to and xml is easy well the skininfo file is easy its just the definition and other files i find a bit difficult

I learned a quite bit of them by reading line by line, and looking what each line does. And how the attributes given changes the appearance of the element.
